Breach Farm Update

The plans for Breach Farm Brewing‘s small tasting room just a few miles outside Andover took a step closer to fruition yesterday (Monday 18th October) when the Premises Licence was approved by Test Valley Borough Council.

The application had received considerable interest in the area with both supporters and objectors making strong representations over the site at Haydown Farm, near Amport.

Breach Farm Brewing under the ownership of Tim Hartigan produce a limited range of tasty artisanal craft beers each with their own distinctive character – a real craft/cottage industry.
Small enterprises like this add value to the traditional character of our rural communities and help retain the working heritage of our countryside.

The Licensing decision stated:

“The application has clearly attracted strong representations on both sides. The sub-committee fully understands the concerns expressed by local residents objecting to the application, but has not been able to identify any substantial reason, having regard to the licensing objectives, why the licence should be refused, and in those circumstances the licence is granted…”

This is good news and hopefully we will all soon be able to enjoy the tasty brews of Breach Farm Brewing.
