An application has been submitted for the Premises Licence at The Plough Inn, Longparish. The pub is a wonderful example of a local community working together with their Parish Council and others to save their pub.
The application to Test Valley Borough Council is to allow the pub to be used for the sale of alcohol and to provide entertainment. While there was a previous Premises Licence for the Plough, it was surrendered when the premises closed several years ago.
The application is for the:
- Provision of plays, films, indoor sporting events, live music, recorded music and performances of dance from 1100 to 2300 hours daily (or until 2400 hours on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve);
- Sale of alcohol for consumption both on and off the premises from 1100 to 2300 hours daily (or until 2400 hours on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve);
- Premises to open from 0900 to 2330 hours daily (until 0030 hours Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve).
Work at the pub is progressing well and it is hoped that the Plough may be open by the end of June.
