A local Micropub is taking space in Andover’s pop-up Shared Shop to open on April 17th in the Chantry Centre. The Andover Tap has joined the venture being arranged by the local BID (Business Improvement District).
BIDs are local organisations funded by local businesses which aim to improve trade through various initiatives. In Andover these have included arranging Food and Gardening Fairs, launching a Waste Charter, arranging Free public WiFi, running competitions, the relaunch of Pubwatch, and the latest – setting up this ‘Shared Shop’.
The shop, in the town’s Chantry Centre allows small businesses to share space and to develop their offerings. Tim Abram, owner of the Andover Tap, joins 5 other independent businesses – Wessex Spirits, CJM Eyewear, Junction Road Curiosities, Eitri Forge Blacksmith, and Sweet Ideas. The Shared Shop is just down the slope from Jenni’s, at the top end of the Chantry Centre.
BID have produced a short Facebook intro to Tim and the Tap’s involvement in the Shared Shop:
