The Plough re-opens

The Plough Inn at Longparish is now OPEN, having been save as a community-owned pub. Supporters fought off the threats of from developers, won an appeal, raised funds through the Parish Council and a Share Offer, and carried out thousands of hours of voluntary work on renovating the 300 year old pub that closed six years ago.

The exercise shows the importance a public house can hold in its local community and how a committed team can work together for a wider benefit.

There is still much work to be carried out but for now you can visit and enjoy a lovely pint of a tasty ale, wine, or whatever you fancy served to you by welcoming landlord Steve Howard.
The kitchen will be open in a few weeks time and there is still work to do on the function/meeting room and on the outside areas, but a visit is very much recommended.

The amount of work to create such a welcoming and pleasant environment is more than amazing.
