One of the earliest pubs in the area to embrace the craft ale market is up for sale.
The Tipsy Pig in Latimer Street in Romsey served one of the widest ranges of craft beers in the area, including a good selection of cask ales.
The family run Tipsy Pig Craft Alehouse opened nearly five years ago on 23rd December 2016 in what was previously the King William IV, a pub that had seen better days. It was a remarkable transformation and the Tipsy Pig soon became a haven in the area for those seeking out high quality tasty beers from independent breweries such as Vibrant Forest, Siren Craft and Wild Weather.
As well as keg and cask beers a wide range of bottled and canned beers from smaller brewers both at home and overseas has been available.
Being just a short walk from the railway station it also became popular to visitors.
The following has been published today…
After a lot of deliberation and many tough decisions, we are currently looking to sell The Tipsy Pig.
It hasn’t been an easy decision to make but we unfortunately don’t find the pub to be in line with our plans going forward.
If anyone has an interest in purchasing the business then please drop us a private message for more information regarding an amazing opportunity with a huge amount of potential for growth.
Thank you all for your continuing support over the years and especially since the start of the pandemic. We will keep you all updated as we get closer to the end of our tenancy here.
Love to you all,
Lucas, Phil & The Tipsy Pig Team
The owners have also said:
“hopefully it will stay on as a craft ale pub in the future. We are moving on from it due to personal rather than business reasons.”
Let us hope a buyer is found who maintains the ethos of providing a range of quality beers in a relaxed, informal and friendly atmosphere.
