Beer Day Britain

Planning is well underway for Beer Day Britain, this year being a Tuesday, June 15th. It is the day where we celebrate the national drink of Britain – some may claim its tea – but here at Happy Pint we know it to be BEER.

Get those diaries out, mark the day, choose a pub to visit and as is now tradition raise a glass at 7.00pm in the National Cheers To Beer.

As the organisers say:

We hope you will participate in activities to celebrate Beer Day Britain. There is much to be proud of with UK’s amazing beer and pubs, not least that more styles of beer invented in Britain are now brewed around the world than those of any other brewing nation.

June 15th is also the date that Magna Carta was sealed in 1215. Article 35 of the charter stated: Let there be throughout our kingdom a single measure for wine and a single measure for ale
What a great reason to go to the pub, visit a brewery, take a ride on the ale rail, brew a celebration ale, and rejoice with Britain’s national drink!
